Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming LLC Policies

Payment:

  •  Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming accepts cash and checks. Payment is due upon completion of the groom. Checks shall be made out to Paw Day Spa.
  •  Due to an imposed state sales tax there will be 6% added to the total amount due.
  • There will be a $25 charge for non-sufficient funds, plus any fee my bank may charge. No further services will be performed until the fees have been paid.

Parking: 

  • Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming is a state of the art, mobile pet grooming salon inside of a trailer! We ask that you have adequate parking space for use. We need to be able to turn around or be able to back out, and park on flat ground.
  •  If you are in a neighborhood, or your neighbor is close, we ask you to confirm with them if it’s okay if we block their mailbox, etc.
  • Once we are parked, we are unable to stop the groom and move the vehicle. Any tickets or potential towing that might result from parking issues will be the responsibility of the owner. Please talk with your neighbors to avoid any issues.
  • During the grooming process, we ask that you do not interrupt the groomer during the process. If you need to reach us during the grooming, please call or text us at 215-534-1285.

Matting:

  • We practice “humanity before vanity” . We will not harm your dog by attempting to de-matt.
  •  If the matting is too severe, we will be forced to shave them down. Our top priority is a stress free grooming environment for your pets.
  •  Shaving a pet may be necessary due to matting. A variety of skin and coat care problems may occur after the shave down of a pet. These may include the following hut are not limited to:
    • May dramatically change your pet’s appearance, as the hair will be very close to the skin.
    •  Pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes.
    • May include itchiness, skin redness, bruising, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions by itching/ biting/ licking, hematomas and swelling due to mats.
    • Risk of nicks, cuts, and/or abrasion due to the tightness of hair to the skin, moles, warts, or skin folds trapped in the mats.
    • Moisture trapped near the pet’s skin due to the matting can cause mold, fungus, bacteria or skin irritations that exist PRIOR to the grooming process.
    • Possible loss of hair growth and/or coat re-growth in different color/texture, different directions (cowlicks).
    • Sunburn.
    • Hotspots can develop.
    • The client understands that shave downs or custom cuts will be discussed, and we will perform the cuts to the best of our understanding and ability, but no other guarantee is made.

De-Shedding:

  • This DOES NOT STOP OR PREVENT shedding, but it will reduce the amount of shedding.
  • A through brush- out will be done throughout the groom.
  • This shampoo opens the pores and helps release the undercoat on your pets’ skin. This process is extremely helpful when your pet is blowing their winter and summer coat. A re-moisturizing conditioner to soften and rejuvenate your pets’ skin and coat will follow the bath.
  • The dryer will fluff your pet and continue the deshedding process and blow the dead coat as we dry.
  • Deshedding packages need to be done every 4-6 weeks to see optimal results.
 Pictures:
  • This form authorizes Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming to take photos of your pet for use on our website, and social media for advertising purposes.
Flea & Ticks:
  • If we find a tick on your pet, it will immediately be removed, and you will be notified.
  • If fleas are found on your pet, the grooming will be stopped immediately, and the pet will be returned to you. Due to our mobile unit, it is very hard to remove fleas once they are found.
  • It is the clients’ responsibility to provide proper flea and tick prevention. Once the pet has been given a proper treatment, we can reschedule the grooming.
Vaccinations:
  • Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming requires 48 hours between vaccinations and grooming due to sensitivity. We require a current rabies vaccination expiration date, through text or email. If your pet is unable to receive vaccinations for medical reasons or age, please let us know. We require a veterinarian note explaining. 
Cancellation Policy:
  • If Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming has to cancel your appointment either due to the event of illness, weather, equipment failure, etc. We will reach out to reschedule.
  • In the event that you are going to miss the appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. A 48 hour notice is preferred. Appointments canceled will less than a 24 hour notice will incur a $100 fee per pet. This fee will need to be paid before scheduling your next appointment.

Reminders:

  • Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming will send out a courtesy reminder call or text the day before the appointment. We ask that you confirm the appointment when the reminder is sent. 
Appointments:
  • Due to being mobile, we provide a window time of arrival. In the event we will arrive early or late, we will call you. In the event we arrive and 15 minutes after we arrive, and we have not heard from you, we have the right to cancel the appointment. This is considered a no-show and will be a $50 fee per pet. This fee will need to be paid before scheduling your next appointment.

Medical Problems, Weights & Seniors:

  •  Your pet’s safety and comfort is Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming’s primary concern. Please advise us of any allergies or pre-existing medical conditions prior to the groom.

We have the right to refuse pets.

  • In the event your pet is diagnosed with kennel cough we will NOT be responsible for vet bills, etc.
  • We do not accept pets over 50lbs. 
  • If we have not seen your pet in three months, you are considered a new client. 
  • If you have a product you or your vet prefers, we will be happy to accommodate should you provide it to me. 
Service Refusals:
  • Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming does NOT accept aggressive dogs, we have the right to refuse, stop, or cancel grooming services.
  • The client will be charged a fee depending on what was done. Due to being one-on-one it is very hard to accommodate aggressive dogs.

Accidents:

  • Despite using extreme caution and care, grooming equipment accidents may occur. Our equipment is very sharp, and pets love to wiggle. If an accident occurs, we will notify you as soon as possible. If Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming feels it is serious, and the owner is unable to be contacted immediately, or not on site, we will attempt to seek medical treatment. Either at your authorized veterinarian or, if the veterinarian is not readily available and/ or is deemed too far away, Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming is authorized to use a veterinarian of its choice. Reimbursement for care will be at the sole discretion of Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming.

Entering Trailer:

  •  If you wish to enter the mobile grooming salon & you must understand that neither Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming or myself can predict all accidents or injuries that may occur should I enter or approach the mobile grooming salon to watch or assist with Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming’s service and will not hold Kate Woolsey or Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming responsible for accident or injury to my pet, myself, or my property while entering, exiting, or occupying the unit.

Release Form:

If you have any concerns about your dog’s groom, please notify us within 24 hours of the appointment. We will discuss rescheduling an appointment at the earliest time available.

  • I understand and agree to the above terms for the grooming and maintenance of my pet(s) and in consideration of the grooming services of Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming agree to hold harmless from damage, loss or claims arising from any known or unknown pre-existing condition of my pet(s). The terms special services or handling shall include but are not limited to veterinarian services in the event I am not available. I authorize Paw Day Spa Mobile Grooming to act as my agent in the event emergency veterinarian services, care-taking and/ or transportation is necessary, and I agree to pay all costs. Any/all damages, loss or claim shall include, but not limited to death, injury or shock. Said pre-existing shall include, but not limited to illness, previous injury, skin or coat conditions, medical conditions, advanced age or nervousness.
